GAINING GROUND Clips & Conversation – 2023 North Carolina Black Film Festival

Gaining Ground: The Fight for Black Land was the subject of a sneak peek on May 20 at the 20th Annual North Carolina Black Film Festival in beautiful historic Wilmington, NC. The film’s director, Eternal Polk joined John Deere’s LEAP Manager Tharlyn Fox at NCBFF were on hand to discuss the documentary and the issues covered in the film.

“Our talk happened in an intimate room filled with film enthusiasts and people concerned about the issues we presented in Gaining Ground,” according to Eternal Polk. I was so enthused that the audience came ready with questions about the content and were heavily involved in the conversation.”

This begins our film journey. From here Gaining Ground makes its world premier at the American Black Film Festival in Miami Beach on June 15.
