BUMPER CROP: Gaining Ground Racks Up More Festival Wins!
It’s one thing to be recognized by highly respected film festivals. It’s an entirely different feeling of “Wow” for the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) to bestow a BEST DOCUMENTARY trophy on Gaining Ground: The Fight for Black Land. AMCP honors excellence in marketing and communication while recognizing the creativity, hard work, and generosity of industry professionals through the MarCom Awards. Since its inception in 2004, MarCom has evolved into one of the largest, most-respected creative competitions in the world. Each year about 6,500 print and digital entries are submitted from dozens of countries, so the fact that Gaining Ground grabbed this accolade is rather impressive and a tribute to John Deere for backing this essential social impact documentary.
In addition to the MarCom Award, Gaining Ground has been recognized by these prestigious film festivals below, and most recently picked up an award for its….wait for it….trailer! That’s right; in addition to winning full length awards, Gaining Ground also picked up the award for BEST TRAILER at the Carolina Film Festival. This award is a tribute to our outstanding film/trailer editor, Chris Etheridge.
Congratulations to Executive Producer Al Roker and producer/Director Eternal Polk on an amazing award-winning festival run!
